Just modified mine, took about two hours by the time I located the metal and went to Lowe's to buy an angle grinder. Great Mod, thanks..

just got mind done sweet mod . i used plastic gutter gard

i will post some pictures soon .. she is a little to dirty right now ..

i did the same thing with metal mesh painted it silver came out awesome gave the front end a whole new look. was a lot of fun getting the grill off with the winch though... took a little wiggling... and these companies are selling grill kits for 200 + dollars it's so silly they charge that much for something silly like that.

so far the winner is still the molded to-fit solid stainless piece that fits the radiator and snugs nicely against the grill. Last time I saw the rain-gutter version on a JK it was dangling all loose (weather I guess), every piece was loose and hanging. Looks good for awhile I guess, maybe if you used some good 2-pt epoxy on the clips

Did the grill mod today with the gutter mesh and black paint.... Also used the gorilla glue. hope it stay because it makes the grill look great.... Took about 2 hours total with paint dry time...

I had to let my Gorilla glue dry for a couple days till everything held.

3 days and all is well.... Best mod around for the time and $$$. Makes the front end look great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the only zip tie mount clips that i can find have an adhesive pad on the back. everyone says those dotn work. do i need to take off that adhesive and then put on the gorilla glule. there must be some other clips out there??
