Forgive me for not filtering through 50 pages but did anyone find the expanded aluminum like the original posters in Canada??? I searched and all i found were other people looking for it and speculations. I checked Canadian Tire and Homo Depot today and no dice. Specifically in the GTA

Thanks!!

Note: On the '09 model there are no more plastic screws that hold in the grill. Just a set of plastic inserts that can be popped in and out.

I love the way the orange and blue go together. Maybe someday I'll pay to get the entire Jeep colored orange...
FYI, the sheet that you are using is cutting off a TON of air flow. It needs to have a higher % opened than what you have. Dont know how temps get in Guam, but here that would cause an engine to overheat not getting enough air flow. Check out McMaster-Carr and order some with a high opening amount.

I'm Still looking for the steel mesh/expanded aluminum in Canada... I want to paint it Red so don't think the plastic will work for me. I found some fancy printed stuff at RONA and home depot but did not like the patterns. Only expanded steel was thick grade and only 24"x24" No luck at princess auto, they just have full sheetmetal nothing perforated or "decorative". Still looking for help please!!

Thanks for the offer But I just returned the sticky blocks i bought at Homo Depot for almost 2 bucks a pack and thought i'd ask again for help, the guy pointed me to the tile aisle and i found a huge sheet of what looks to be the same stuff you used for just 5 bucks. So now i got enough to do red, black, keep some silver for whatever i feel like using.

Will post pics but for those Canadians looking to do this heres the shopping list

- Home Depot - Go to the tile aisle and get a big sheet of expanded steel for 5 bucks (can get paint here too but its 10-20 cents cheaper at Canadian Tire.)
- Princess Auto - Get your sticky pads 100 package for 5 bucks
- Canadian tire - Spray paint and clear coat.

Total was less than 30 bucks Canadian for everything.

So while I'm waiting for the paint to dry enough to do a second coat of tremclad and put some clearcoat on (can says wait 72 hrs... yeah right) I decided to just go ahead and mount the sticky pads and temporarily mount a clean metal one to get the idea on how it will look. I used the side of my hand to push out the metal into the slots a little but i decided not to do this on my final red one.

I purchased perforated stainless steel for my grill from h ttp://www.metalsupermarkets.com
They have stores in many locations across Canada and the U.S. The sheet cost me about $25 CDN

Installed it last fall, a week after I took delivery, and the stainless looks as good now as it did then.
