Several people have asked for more information and pictures on my hard top hoist system. Here goes.

Parts I used.
2x4 lag bolted into ceiling studs with 4 4" lag bolts
2 deer hoists from Cabelas
2 3" eye bolts
4 heavy duty carabiners (I used 2 different kinds)
2 4" eye bolts with big rings attached
1 hand crank winch
100' 3/8" rope (250lbs) I only used about 12 feet (this is to attach the deer hoist to the hard top)
8 rope clamps
2 a/c tub insullation tubes (could use pool noodles)

Nice write up... Can you share pricing for each item if you know it? Just curious how much you have in this.
