My solution is similar to BosoxJK...4 rubber coated J-hooks from Lowes and 2 heavy duty ratchet straps. Just run the loose ends of the straps under the top and lift off one side at a time, simple as that. I've been using this setup for over a year now, zero issues whatsoever. The winch style systems on this thread are sweet, just needed something quick, cheap, and easy...It's worked so well, I just put my cable/winch plans on the backburner..Attachment 370215Attachment 370217Attachment 370218

I have the Racor and didn't like how the j bolts stuck out toward the hardtop where they could scratch it. So, I found these rubber bumpers / stoppers on mcmaster and they screw right onto the bolts giving the hardtop a nice soft rubber stopper to sit against. Part # 9540k62. Works great.

That looks real neat! Thinking about making something like that but on wheels so it would be easier to line up the top with the jeep. What kind of poles are those and are there any issues with bending?

3/4" galvanized pipes 10x10x6. They bend a little when I hang from them but im 200lbs. No bend at all from the 100lb top. This was a kinda pricey setup tho. Round 300 for everything

Anyone ever have problems with the tops bending or getting out of shape. I'm concerned my lift I made will over time change the shape of the top a bit. anyone ever have problems like that
