There's a lot of talk about how expensive they can be.
I'm thinking of going with a DYI only b/c, instead of paying
for something...I know I can do myself.

As for if they work;

Yes they work.
1.They help to deaden the sound inside the cab.
2.They help keep the inside cool in the summer & warm
in the winter.
3.They look like they should have been included as a stock
item on the inside of the roof panels. (there's even an indentation
in the roof where they should have been.)
4.If you DIY, you can customize them to your tastes.
(ie; button tuck, embroidery, color selection, and the use of
different materials and fabrics.)

Hope this helps.

Best of luck on Your choice of what you want to do.

I purchased the boom mat ..which is half the price and 1 inch thick..applied it to my hardtop after I sprayed the interior flat black....really does reduce noise and makes the interior like a sound booth . Great for insulation also.

Another vote for the Hothead headliner. Been using it since 2010 & would recommend one.

I gave both of those some thought but decided to give the DIY stuff a try. Spent roughly$45 and after a few tries I am really glad i did. I suggest you look up a few post about this and give it a try. Good luck
