Default Help with solenoid mount on M8000 winch

I purchased a new M8000 winch for my '10 Jeep 2 door. I am looking at either the LoD or Rugged Ridge Modular XHD bumper and I also have the mounting bracket for the solenoid box for the winch... a simple little iron L bracket. I was just wondering if someone could provide me a simple answer as to where the mounting bracket mounts. I know how the solenoid box mounts to it, but I cant seem to figure out where the bottom of the L bracket will mount. I have not puchased the bumper yet and don't know if there will be bolt holes for the bracket or will I need to drill two holes for the bottom of the bracket. I just didn't know if I was overlooking something simple for the mounting bracket. Thanks for you help.

If it is the same bracket I have I mounted mine directly on the winch, I did replace the bolt with a longer one to acount for the thickness of the bracket.

My bracket looks different. It looks as if it is supposed to mount behind the winch in some way. Even on the box the winch came in it has the solenoid box standing up on a bracket behind the drum. I can't seem to get my pictures uploaded right now....

I'll see if I can get them uploaded at some point to show the bracket and how it should be mounted.

Even on the Warn Website

http://www.warn.com/truck/winches/src/M8000.shtml

it shows the M8000 with the solenoid mounted on a bracket that looks exactly like mine...

Best thing to do is to get the bracket like Jeepin Dad has. It's Warn part number 26368 , here's a picture:

They run about $10 or so from most places like Quadratec.

I think the Warn supplied bracket is intend to mount on the end of the long horizontal tubes on top of the spool, across the top of the winch. Just like JeepinDad's pic's. You'll see at the end of the chrome tube, allen head screws. You then would let the orientation of the box that fits your application dictate which of the four available screws to choose from. While JeepinDad has his horizontal, but to the left of the winch, you could also mount it directly over the winch spool simply by chaniging the orientation of the bracket. I'm not aware of how you'd achieve the vertical mount shown on the box (my 9.5xp box also shows that view) without another bracket other than what came in the box. I too was puzzled by their picture.
