High lift Jack mount
But if you look closely, It seems he took off the BFG Mud Terrains and went to GoorYear All Terrains. So I'm guessing it doesn't see heavy trail useage?
Either way, nice fab work and good luck with your setup. Just make sure your door straps are always connected.
Oh and to Happy Curmudgeon, I live in Long Island on the water and have a hi lift on my TJ for years now with no problems. All I do is PB Blast the 2 pins every month or so. Actually every trail ride which is every month or so. I just sold my YJ with a hi lift which I had spray painted blue to match the Jeep. It was atleast 5 years old with no problems and I keep one on my car trailer which is painted flat black so no one steals it.
That one was bought in 2001 and never gets any maintenance at all.

Seems like the jack would be subject to vibration and hitting the body or door.
Interesting fab job. What thickiness did you use? Did you put a rubber gasket under the windshield bracket, and what did you bend it with?
Nice job on the rails, how about a little more info on it too?

no way can the jack vibrate loose or hit the door the mount is very solid
the plate is made of 3mm (1/8th")galv steel cut from a box section so i didn't have to /bend it , I put spacers under so the plate doesn't actually touch the body, I have since moded it again to mount a spottie
the nerf bars are 3mm thick 3"(75mm) tube mounded with extra braces so's I can jack the Jeep on them.
We have no trees here
Ado

Opps I notice that in my first pic the jack isn't sitting on the nerf bar
in the finish the foot of the jack is locked into som inch long lugs in the nerf bar I now see why you made comments about it getting ripped off and hitting the body - my bad
Ado (and here's me thinking you guys were nuts, when it was me all along)

I have to say it's great. This is part of what Jeeps are about creativity. Everything can be expanded on and it could be better if the mount came straight off the windshield bracket so the lift was across the hood in front of the windshield. If you mig the square tube all the way perpendiculary around the windshield bracket it would hold up on the trail fine. You got to start somewhere.
I think callin dude's work stupid is over the top. I mean, maybe some of us might do it differently. Maybe not. If it works for him and he's happy with it, who are any of us to care whether it gets ripped off on the trail or not? Quite frankly, it's probably on there pretty good. Have yall felt how strong that lower windshield corner is? Also he says he has it supported at the bottom, too. It's probably pretty stout is my guess. I mean I said I was slap speechless because I wouldn't bolt anything right over a painted surface like that. BUT, that just means I wouldn't do it that way. That doesn't mean it's stupid and it doesn't mean it won't work. I think he deserves some credit for creativity. There seems to be a shortage of how to mount these jacks on the JK, and he's given us another choice. Bottom line is, if he wants to pour gas on his Jeep and strike a match to it, it's his to do so.
