question for you, how long are the straps you used with the traction fasteners?

Do you think that a rivet or grommet tool could be used instead of stitching?

Would likely speed up the assembly - but I'm not sure about the strength.

I made sure to have about 6" of play after they were tightened. If you are asking about total length, I have to say that I don't recall... about 14 inches I think.

I thought about using rivets to attach the QDs on the tail gate, but decided to keep with the stitching.

A grommet tool would have been great for the side hooks, but I plan on swapping out the "S" hooks for flat hooks when I find some and the grommets won't work for flat hooks. If you wanted to stick with "S" hooks, the grommets would be sweet.
