Take off your front and save it. You won't need that thin piece of junk anyway or the plastic.
I modded mine out and there is a brief write up on it ..somewhere on here.
I also customized my winch plate to fit a Warn between the frame rails ..
If you really want my suggestion, check out what WOODS has to offer. It solves most of the pain in the ass issues, when doing this, and you can add to his as you desire. I believe he is selling like 125 plus shipping. Average winch plate is 50 and unless you weld another 30 for custom work on it. Plus headache and hassle.
If you don't pick up the rear tonight, maybe I can meet up with you on Saturday and show you what I did, and went through.
