I took the easy route back in 08, I didn't think about a mod... The mod looks great..

 

I took my dremel, chopped the antenna where i wanted, pulled the little ball off the chopped piece and glued it back on, then put on a piece of heat shrink. Sound quality is just as good as before and i dont have to use a ziptie....last thing i want on my $40,000 vehicle is a ziptie on the body

I bent mine and added a clamp on the top pilar bolt.
