An Improved Grab Handle Solution
I tired to get four handles from the local kayak shop, but they were sold out. so I came up with my own solution. I went to the local camping store bought 10 feet of black 1" climbers webbing, then when to home depot and bought a 3 foot section of clear 5/8" tubing. I cut the tubing to the handle width I wanted then cut the webbing to length. I fed the webbing through the tubbing and the punched, grommeted, and mounted the Handles. Now for the front I used the two screw pins for the door frames to attache the handles two. The only thing I did different was adjust the webbing length so they hung down the same are the rear. All told it took me about 30 minutes and I love the. Infact the dealership complimented me on them and wanted to know where I got them. :-)
I have what is quite similar (if not identical) grab handle made by MP 4x4...purchased from Jeep Outfitter...they (the web straps) are oversized and fit any roll bar; again...super nice write up.
Just reiterating that these are very good and very strong.
I pulled down on each one to test it with all my strength to see if they'd break.
I actually pulled the suspension of the Jeep down, handles just fine. VERY strong. P.S. - I'm 6'6" and 270 pounds. If they were going to break, they would have then.

I got mine in and as a added precaution, I dipped the ends of the handles in "Tool Dip" about 1 ". This holds the strapping material together as well as provides a better gripping surface for the grommets. I also hope it will help to keep the handles in working order longer. I hope this helps.

sorry about being cockeyed, it is not like this in the original image.

The grommets were added after the dipping and then spay painted.

You can't throw that out there without pics. ;-)
