Can you see the pics? Can anyone see the pics or were they removed?

I'm also very interested in this mod, but would love to have the pictures before I dive in.

I cant see the pics and have tried on several conputers with several internet feeds. My guess is the hosting site was removed. I did it w/o pics. The only pic I miss was the removal of the airbag. ended up using a utility knife to pear away the shroud till i could see the clips. if you use a knife pear away towards you (.5 - .75 of an inch) and once you can see the clip its a no brainer. the rest is super straight forward.

Thanks, that's a slight confidence booster knowing you did it with out the pics. I'm just not that experienced so it sounds a little intimidating, but maybe I'll recruit a friend with skillz before I start.

Default Thank you

I followed the write-up and all went perfect. If it were not for people sharing their successes someone like myself would be lost. I just wanted to say thanks for both this site and write-up.

Default Some Pics

Just installed last weekend, and couldn't have done it without this thread! To help others who were stuck at step 1 - removing airbag behind the Jeep symbol on the steering wheel - here are some pics

Cutting away the shroud to find the clips (that were not where I expected them to be). The push twist wasn't enough with my stubby screwdriver - I had to push then flick them off

The airbag, the three clips now removed. I remove the yellow and black connectors by carefully pinching the sides and pulling them out - AFTER THE BATTERY HAD BEEN DISCONNECTED. Disconnect before removing the steering wheel - I pulled too hard and broke the wiring harness.

Bought the kit off ebay from Jeepsareus - very quick shipping - included instructions were fine once I figured out how to get the airbag off.

I have very little mechanical ability, and it took a little over an hour.

Default Horn!!

I put the whole thing together and was in middle of reconnecting the battery when the horn started blasting. And it will not stop. So, I messed up one of the horn buttons when I pushed those 4 buttons into the steering wheel didnt I? Some one please tell me I didnt do that. I have no wish to pull off the airbag AGAIN.
