Ok I have seen YouJeep's strobes up close and personal and they are very nice! I really do like the idea of having them on when winching or pulling someone out of a stuck situation... it's a great heads up!

Default Dirt roads and traffic access!!

Here is another great reason to run strobes. Driving on dirt roads in a convoy. Strobes on the front and rear of the vehicle are a great way to see the person in front of you as well as behind you. We have run them in the past and they are by far the best thing i have seen for being seen in heavy dust. I have also seen them used at 4 wheel gatherings where a lot of vehicles need to get onto a main road. Simple send the vehicle out with the strobes to block the on coming traffic. You can easily get 20 to 30 vehicles out on the road at one time by doing this. Yes, it might not be legal, but it is safer than having all those vehicles trying to cut across the road and then catch up to the convoy. Oh and by the way they look great!

I think a hurse driver can do just about anything they want, what kind of a cop would pull over a hurse leading a funeral persesion

warning light laws vary per state. here in NY ( i maybe a little off but close enough) cops run red clear to front red amber (blue optional) to rear must run siren to break traffic laws. FD & EMS emergency vehicles (including personally owned chief's vehicles) red (clear optional) to front red (amber optinal) to the rear must run siren to break traffic laws. Vol. FD members personal vehicles (1) blue 35w ROTATING light visible 360 deg. no audible warning ever. can not break traffic laws. plows amber 360 deg. any one can run amber for saftey purposes ie stuck on side of road. funeral procession purple not sure if it needs to be 360. vol. EMS. follow same rule as vol. FD but must be green.

like i said i maybe a little off but close enough. I have 4 red led's and 2 clear leds to the front of my personal vehicle (i'm a FD asst. chief) and 2 red led to the rear siren going in soon. just gotta get off my butt

I've seen this on the trail a lot, they're great to see the vehicle in front of you or way in the back. I've also seen them on atvs.

HA HA...TRUE! What cop pulls over a funeral car?

Spare the expense, just toss me in my JK, wait.....that would mean I need to get some of these strobes.

SERIOUSLY THOUGH TO THE OP: Those lights are awesome! I think its a great idea.

Yeah...it varies by state:

Snow plows in Colorado have blue and yellow/amber lights. Roadside assistance vehicles, tow trucks, courtesy patrol, have yellow/amber lights. Tow Trucks cannot have red or blue...and I have seen that in other states they can.

When I will use them I have no idea, I am sure they are completely illegal though. O'well maybe I can use them at the next ralley.
Very good job, But be careful using the Whelen police type strobes they get very hot they will melt the lens when there’s not room , I worked for a radio shop as a supervisor and we did builds in police fire and just about anything else you could think of we ended replacing lots of lights and lens due to heat/melting , Have you seen the new leds like the whelen TIR3 there as bright and have more patterns you can link them to each other Lot of colors too, Have fun be careful with the law here in fl. You go to jail just for having them they call it “intent to impersonate a law enforcement officer” But you must do something to get there attention, I my self had 8 strobes in my grand Cherokee I had them connected to my security system and remote start when remote start was used they did a flash as a warning and also with the alarm sounded.
A friends site http://www.policeservicesinc.com He is very friendly if you need somthing/help Chris is his name He also has www.brightasslights.com
