Installed, nice write up. I even went through the same spot in the fire wall..
Also bundled it all in the split conduit, nice clean look....

Good write up Yamaha! I just installed my pillar lights and kept running back to check your pics. I, too, used the same entry point and it all works great! Good job Bro!

Default kc

this was one of my first mods and it was way easier than i expected... i bought the kc slim 100w driving lights for my jeep and the kc kit was super easy to install... most of the time is spent running wires to look clean. the poly loom is a must for a clean finish but save yourself the time from buying online or autoparts store, walmart sells it in the electronics section (by the auto parts) and its super cheap. going through the firewall and mounting the switch was what intimidated me the most but with a short length of coat hanger you can pull the wires through a hole preexisting in the firewall through some orange material, pops out right on the drivers side. I ran my switch onto the pillar next to the windshield just to avoid accidently turning them on by keeping them out of the way. nice write up !

cheers

Default Exactly the post I was hoping to find...

Thanks for the post. I just bought these lights today and was hoping I could find some help on where to mount the switch and how to set up the wiring. Your post was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks. I'm just glad they don't remove posts after 3 years.
