The prep was just wash (car wash), then wash with dish soap and a dish sponge, then it dries up and then get ready to spray. I didn't use any ammonia, primer, anything else- just clean them and then spray with the Krylon.

I did the creamy.......the nuts don't help deposit more peanut oil into the flare. That's essentially all you're doing is oiling up the flares.

Edit: use a similar gloss black with multiple coats. Clean first then park in sun to heat the plastic up.

Used the Krylon satin black spray paint; blue painters tape and aluminum foil.
A little breezy on Lake Ontario.
Thanks forum members for the advice!

Don't be surprised if you find yourself wanting to do the mirrors, gas filler neck, and license plate bracket next.

I used some plastic restorer by Meguiar's from Advance Auto. It's been over a month and they still look brand new and that's after PILES of rain here and super hot sunny days parked outside. They still look awesome. It was only about 6-7 bucks and I only used about 1/4 of the bottle for the front, back and side fenders!

Definitely worth a try IMO
