I've used two different types and in the heat if summer, nothing will stay adhered to those panels, :( for me anyway... so be careful they don't just randomly fall on your head.
Thanks! I just used the double sided tape that came with it. If it falls it's just one of those things I guess. Luckily it doesn't get too hot here in San Diego. I can see it now landing on my head when I'm on a trail. Haha. Makes me laugh.

Did you hit the top with some sandpaper first? Not too much just enough to rough it up a bit?

Yeah, I have... but I deal with a lot more heat than San Diego, haha, I may try something more drastic.

I'm talking about custom heat reducing panels, not LED lights, so they are also a bit more weight. You may never have problems, just a heads up.

I found some really similar lights at wally world for my trunk enclosure I just built. Im not sure about your lights, but mine have 2 holes where the sticky side would go. They are the sliding holes that you can hook up to screws. I drilled 2 screws into my trunk and now I am able to mount the light onto the screws and then slide the light down to lock it into place.

West Utah desert. I was at Ikea today with the wife and showed her what you did, she likes them and wants me to do it once I get those panels secured.

So awesome. Not I won't feel bad disabling the map lights in my mirror. Then I can put the led bulb in the rear

I put a set in the back as well. Love the price. If it doesn't work out you're not out a ton. Plus the light out out is surprisingly a lot.
