Default Looking for a Line-X write-up

Are there any threads on write-ups for preparing the inside of a JK for Line-X? I just got home from an extended business trip and it's time to get back to work on the JK. I'm planning to spray the interior, grill, and the leading two inches of the grill.

Thoughts, comments, suggestions, gripes,, etc. would be very much appreciated.

THANKS!

Do it yourself at home and save big $$$$$

Line-X is awesome stuff, but the Raptor liner is really good too. Its cheaper, by like $600-800 for the interior, and you can do it at home. For the inside of the JK it is great. I did my CJ5 with it and am very happy.

Duplicolor is great too. I did my lower body panels and rock rails with it and have been happy. Plus...I can touch it up whenever I want.

Jeepmedic, thanks for the link. The work looks great on your interior. One year down the road is there anything you would've done differently? Also, have you noticed any wear and tear that you think could've been avoided by doing something different in the preparation?

Thanks again, I'm definitely considering making this a weekend job (Sahara tan inside a black jeep perhaps?).

I just had the inside of my 2011 jku done before xmas. It ran me $700 and i think it was worth every penny. I suggest you remove your interior yourself as well as the prep. To get the sound deadining off just scratch the surface of it with a sharp screwdriver and then lay a soaked towel over the area for a bit and then go to town with a putty knife scrapping the rest up. I would also remove the doors myself and try to be part of the prep they do. At the very least make sure you check everything to be masked that you don't want sprayed. I had a write up with pics on here about a month ago. You will love the finished product.
