Ditto on Ace hardware. $6 for Maglite brand. I did this over the weekend. Make sure you drill your start holes big enough. I sheared to screws installing mine. I've got one in each bracket at the moment. Will add the others when I can get to the store for replacements. looks great though!

I've had a Magcharger for a few years but the NiCad battery pack died. So I found that MagLite makes a NiHy drop-in replacement and TerraLUX makes a 1000 lumen lamp upgrade! So, for around $80 I now have a BRIGHT LED rechargeable MagLite... So, has anyone tried to mount a MagCharger somewhere in their JK? I don't think it'll fit on the seat rail like those clips...

I just mounted my 6D in the same spot as this write up. It doesn't really stick out although I kick it getting in and out of the jeep, although I do have size 13 feet.

As far as a flashlight - these maglites suck. They are not bright at all....I use 200 lumen AAA lights from costco - $20 for 3 and retarded bright. I'm like you though, its more there in case I need a weapon.

After trying all different ways of mounting maglite, and still it kept roaming around the Jeep. I ordered maglite mounts from Ebay, and shipped all the way to UAE

After getting them i found out that the seat mount is different in 2012. There are people here who just mount it on a plastic. I see this as fail sometime soon. Especially if you are not a mall crawler. Vibrations will rip it off soon.

So i took the plastic thingy off and measured some custom aluminium bracket to be done there.

Here is what i got it look like finally:

P.S. Sorry for crap picture q made by blackberry
