My 2011 Unlimited Security Box/Deck Cover
So I've watched the other threads on budget Security Box/Deck Covers and decided to try one myself.
Started with a trip to Lowes to gather supplies.
I had some spare plywood at the house as well as some misc lengths of 1X1 from a screened in porch project so you will see other material other than the above listed.
First step was to cut the uprights. I have the stock Subwoofer in the back of mine so I had to do some extra cutting. I included both sets of dimensions in the same photo.

I attached each of the sections using the angle iron and bolts. I wanted the whole thing to be able to break down if I ever hit the Powerball and actually bought a Tuffy Security Box.

After attaching both uprights with the base and 1X1 cross member I did the first test fit (of at least 30!!!!)

Here is a shot of the cut out around the Sub.

Next I cut the back out with yet another few test fits.

After cutting the two deck pieces I realized I need more support so I added them and then shot it with primer.

Here is a shot of the top pieces with a few measurements. I said before I had the guys at Lowes precut the 59" section. The edge to edge width of the tub is 59" so after a trim on both sides the deck fits snug.

Before completely tightening everything up I made two brackets out of the angle iron to bolt to the back two seat bolts. The grey you see is the foam mat they sell in the flooring section.
It gives a nice layer of protection to the carpet and plastic against the MDF and Wood surfaces.

After everything was painted I ran the Rubber Foam Weatherseal around the edges that would contact the edges of the interior. Bolted everything up and tightened everything down.

This is the stuff I used.

The next few shots are just a bunch of angles and close ups. Hope you enjoy. Ill add the rest of the finished photos below. I know everyone likes photos.
