Well i have been wanting to do this for awhile now.. So i cut around 1" away fron the lip on the bumper the width of the painters tape i used. I then cut the cap off the end and tried to insert it in the cut end of the bumper but i really didnt like the look of it and never have so instead i used two self tapping screws with a pilot hole and screwed thru the plastic into the steel bumper ( when you cut it you will see there is a cavity inside the plastic that you can screw at a angle into the steel bumper) I took the piece that i cut and traced the end onto sheet metal and cut that out with tin snips.. i ground the piece on a bench grinder until i got it faily close to fit inside the plastic on the bumper..then the grinding began.. i ground the steel bumper back so the sheetmetal would be inside the plastic bumper (this took awhile and alot of checking and rechecking to get right) once i had the steel bumper ground back and square so the sheet metal would fix perfectly inside the plastic bumper.. I traced it on another sheet of metal for the other side... i tack welded the piece into place and got out a grinder with sand paper to ruff up the surface and to sand off anywhere the plastic bumper was hanging past the sheet metal.. then just painted it flat black.. ont he bumper where the sawall scuffed it alittle i just sprayed plasti dip on a rag and wiped it over the scratch to cover it up and wala a cut bumper....it looked awesome and i wish i did it sooner since i already had a XHD bumper on the way..lol

Love it! Very similar to what I did Much better than the aftermarket plastic end caps...you see more tire from the front & it looks more rugged and mean

Default does any one know if theres a fix for a hole in bumper

my bumper took a blow to a rock right on the square block that sticks out its 2 inch smash hole
(ooops did I say smashole) anyway id like any info if you can repair it or maybe even add a d ring on each block and make it look symmetrical lol I realy haven't the need for a 700 dollar bumper and I doubt ill need a winch soon but the hole kinda bugs me on a new jeep if need be I might put a steel bumper on her but if theres a way let me know thanks my thought was holesaw a 3 inch round hole on both blocks and mount a d hoop on each if I could
