Keep up dating your build so I can see the progress. It's got me interested in doing mine.

This is definitely what i want to do. Are you going to change out the shafts? or put lockers?

No lockers and I may do shafts if money allows. I ran a poll and it looked like a vast majority of the D30's did not break as everyone seems to think, but a large majority of the failures were the u joint and axle shaft!

I only get a few hours a week to work o nit so it's going to take some time, but I don't mind because I wanted a winter project that would last a while. If I had the time, it would not have taken me much time at all to get it all done.

I'm not a welder so I'll have to pay to get it done. After I figure out how much that will be I'll start buying my parts.

Well It's been a few days and I finished the truss. I heated up the cast section to around 300+ (it's all I could get it to with what I had). I went slow moving around from side to side and all went well.

Again, I can't state how much easier this has been to have it out of the Jeep and to be able to get to it at all angles.

Looks like the ball joints are next and to get it rust proofed!
