Default My Fender Chop

Front Fenders

1. I started by removing the wheel well liner, and fender. After doing this I reattatched the fender using 1/4 x 3/4 bolts,1/4 flat washers, and 1/4-20
hex nut.

2. Next I used a chalk line to mark where I wanted the fenders to be at.
The ended up being approx. 6.5 in front, narrowed down to around 5 1/4. And cutting around a 45 degree angle up front.
I did a little cutting on the wheel well liner and replaced .(not the middle one, didnt even put that one back on)

3. After cutting I used a putty knife to scrape the really rough edges. Then used a coarse file to even it out. Used a fine file, followed by 100 grit sandpaper, and finished with 600 grit wet-sandpaper.
(I dont a have a pic of the first file, I think I lost it.)

Rear Fenders

Remove wheel well liner...
OK, I got so &%#! frustrated trying to measure where I was going to cut, chalk line, tape, I just couldnt get it straight. So I just eyeballed it with a pencil. Repeat step 3. They ended up being 4".

Im very pleased with the results. Anyone with any experience would know exactly which tools to use, and how to measure, and probably get a better result. This was my first "actual mod" Ive done. (first time even seeing a cutting wheel(?). Its not perfect, only temporary, but it was FREE!

looks great Angbri, hey what width NMGs are those? I'm interested in a 37x13.50 or 14.50 width, not sure if they make them or not....
