Default My Trunk Cover--- Under $20

I was tired of having to put a blanket over anything I had in the trunk when I went some where. I didn't feel like having to replace all my baseball gear, baby stroller, or anything else just because wandering eyes liked what they saw.
So I went a bought:
2-60" shower curtain rods (the extendable kind)
black fabric
Black Spray Paint

I painted the rods so they weren't bright white and extremely obvious, and had my mother-in-law hem the fabric so it would cover the trunk area. I put the two things together and I now have a inexpensive cover to hide some gear. I do realize that if a theif wants something they are going to get it. But this at least keeps the temptation down.

Simple and value priced! Keeps the sun off the rear area and prying eyes. I like your thinking!

That looks nice and easy to do but how is that at highway speeds with the top down?
