I'm trying the Cree LED reverse Bulbs. Just have to install them.

I'm looking for a neat solution (no additional external lights) for back-up lights for some time now.
This idea may just be it.

However, I'm not sure if the light is stronger, compared to replacing the stock bulb with a strong LED bulb.

Another thing is the 60 degree light spread.
For reversing on a trail in pitch dark, I need the backup light to spread to the sides.
From the picture on post #1, there's not enough spread sideways, but the pic' may be misleading.

To those of you who installed the Rigid Industries SR-M Back Up Kit on the stock light -- what's your experience with it, regarding these questions ?

Is the light stronger vs replacing the stock bulbs with strong LED bulbs ?

I'm not sure that the 60 degree light spread is wide enough.

I'd much appreciate a picture that shows the light spread at night.

The rigid will put out a ton of light. I opted for a single dually diffused flush mount on a car and it lights up most of the parking lot. The stock bulbs or even an LED drop in won't compare to what you'll get from this.

Yes, it puts out a lot of light -- backwards. For reversing into a parking lot it's good.
But what about reversing a twisting trail in pitch dark ?
If, for instance, you reverse to the right, and the light doesn't spread wide enough, you won't see where right edge of the trail continues (in the right side mirror).

For that, I'd like the reverse light to spread sideways real wide, and that's my question - how wide do these light spread ?
Pictures which shows the spread would be much appreciated.

They have different degrees of spread they defuse the refelctors which causes them to spread out they are awesome for backing up.

The spread is great, my rear window is useless with the 37 on the back now. The light spreads more than enough for the side mirror view either side.
