Default Oil consumption issue/warranty question

I am new to the jk realm having purchased a 2007 Wrangler a couple of weeks ago. After reading more about my purchase, I found that some have an issue with oil consumption. It turns out mine was one that did. I bought it from a reputable dealer but it turns out that it was my brother in laws neighbors old jeep (small world). Apparently he had done the oil consumption test with the local jeep dealer before trading it in, though I'm not sure what the results were. My question is, what is the likelihood of my extended warranty (easycare) covering the repair. I would assume they would be required to cover any expense related to this while under warranty. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

See what it's consuming for oil before you do too much thinking about warranty coverage.

Then, if it's consuming too much, read your warranty paperwork.
