quick release camloc front mud flaps
Today I removed my mudflaps and reinstalled with camlocs so i can install quickly and remove even quicker.
I used 1/4 turn #7 camlocs. These are borderline too short and i think #8s would be better. The install is fairly straightforward. Drill holes bigger than existing screw hole for retainers to be pop riveted to the plastic. Then make rest of the holes the same size as the camloc retaining ring. This makes the locks self retaining to the flap when removed... that way you dont loose the parts.
I got the camlocs on ebay which is best price. Several airplane suppliers carry but you are looking at close to 10$ per assembly.
