Installed mine in the center cap, if I need to use the spare it unplugs and pops out.

Where did you get the piece that fits exactly in the center cap place? Very clean install.

Would it matter whether you get the radio flashed before the install is done. I'm looking at getting an install outside if the dealership and would like the shop to be able to verify that everything works.

I think all that would happen is tat you would get a black screen when you put it in reverse as the camera would not be there yet.

I found a store locally that has some cameras for $30. (its one of those bulk buyout kinda places) Heck, I was thinkin about getting 2 one for backing up, and maybe one so I can see the kiddos....Anyway, i can look for thier website, they do ship and take pay pal- if anyone is interested.

Great idea and good look on the center wheel mount. I got one of the flush mount ones on eBay and flush mounted it in my tailgate because I don't run a spare but I'm thinking of putting my spare on and running s second camera in the location u did. Ill just run a switch so I can choose which camera to use depending if I take the spare off again.

My camera has a backup grid permanently on the screen I think. I'm not sure if there is a way to turn it off. Anyone have any input or knowledge of that?
