I bought the exact same 12v outlet, but I am thinking of just tapping into a power wire from one of the 12v outlets in the front of the cab (dont feel like going through firewall again).

Anyone see a problem in doing that?

Power surge. It could drain your battery when in use and the vehicle is off.

I can live with that, Just don't use it with vehicle off, makes sense to me, I just wanted to make sure there would be enough power going back there

Well, got it done today. I went ahead and tapped into the power wire on the right hand 12v outlet in the front of the cab. Turned out pretty well, took longer than I thought it would, probably because I took more apart up front than I needed to.

Any reason you used the always on outlet vs the left that turns off with the key?

Hey just a quick one, did anyone end up putting in a 120v? I'd love to have one but not sure how to go about it.
