Security box write up......
$104.00 ARIES SECURITY BOXES 8-1/4"L x 9-1/4"W x 3"H. Extra mounting sleeve sold separately allows use in additional vehicles. If you look around you can find additional discounts. You can also pay more for stainless steel, but I did not see the point, the finish it comes with is very durable.
Because guns are safer left unattended in a car so that criminals can get them rather than by a citizen w/ a concealed carry license according to some ignorant state legislates.
We had the same problem in TN until we finally got a repub majority in our state house and senate. Now we're like 90% of the other states that allow concealed carry and licensed citizens can legally carry in restaurants
(unless the property owner posts a no carry sign). However you still cant drink if you're carrying.
I think i'm going to put one of these boxes under my seat if it will fit.

My first inclanation is that this may work under the front seat with the handle facing the driver door rather than the forward, because in order to remove the box you need to lift the front of it up at an angle in order to clear the locking mechanism. You would need to remove the seat to install with out a doubt. I have other things under my front seat, so i did not chose to mount there. You could mount under your rear seats, but hten could not fold the seats down. I would really like to see a write up on mounting this under the front, I may switch to that some day, or even buy another box. It is relativly inexpensive locking storage, in comparison to other options available. If it works under the front seat that would by far be the most secure.

Does look like that box is made for guns....man, if it would install under the front seat and operate, might be worth taking out the seat for the install.
For gun related car safes, a company called Center of Mass that sells gun safes for under seat installation, they are keyed as well. You can google Center of mass gun safe, it will shop up.
