Shift knob replacement for your Auto!
Oh man, I wanna get one of these later this year. I just went to the Geenie website and they are making a shifter that looks like a WW2 grenade and one that looks like the handle end of a KA BAR knife!
After asking around and not seeing a lot of options I called Gennie Shifter and ordered their Lo-Dapt II Shift knob adapter. I was told that it would be all I needed to replace my side button shift knob with any other knob I wanted.
I bought a cheapo Auto-Zone knob just to try it out and I'm not happy with it totally (it's too big and uses set screws for attachment) but the adapter is simple and easy to install. I'll order a shift knob, probably from Gennie Shifter to attach to it later.
Here's my first attempt at a lame video on how easy it was to install, notice how poorly the knob attaches, this isn't the fault of the adapter, only of the cheap knob.

I've since replaced the crappy knob with a cooler flash hider I had in the parts bin. But you get the idea.

Lol, that autozone knob looks familiar....
I put the gennie shifter on my jk. But does anyone know if it will work on a Grand Cherokee 2007? I would like to get the baseball shift knob for my niece's husban for his birthday. Thanks.
