You should just push it on next time. There is no need to use anything to pull it off. Also what hardware did you use to bolt the trim pieces together? I like the finish on them!

They were extra because black is hardened steel... Overkill for sure but silver would have looked out of place.

You can also just get an after market knob. Run some electrical tape around the top of the shaft and shoehorn that thing on. That's what I did with the pool ball shifter in my Dad's JKU.
