Does anyone know where I can find a thread that shows you how to remove the console's side panels?

Here is my Red Rock Crystal $6 (actually $5.41) mod. I really like the way the gaude looks.

Nice !! Looks like the way Reggie Fountain does the gauge panels on his offshore racing boats.

Is there any benefit of using the Krylon Fusion for plastic vs the Duplicolor Vinyl/Fabric paint?

Also, anyone do the full length of the center dash console (part just above the radio that goes all the way down to the switches) with either paint?

I have used both, and the Duplicolor seems to hang on better. The Krylon doesn't seem to be as tough.

Thanks for the reply. Knowing you were the first to do this, did you also use any clear coat? If so, was it the Duplicolor? I tried using VHT Nite shades on some taillights before and when I used the clear coat in a can, it didn't come out like I expected.

So I pulled the trigger last night and bought some Duplicolor Vinyl spray. We should the change the title of this thread since inflation has now caused the price to go up to about $6.50 per can....lol

Anyway, I also had some Duplicolor acrylic clear coat left over from a previous project and since I didn't hear back from anyone on which clear to use, I used it. I have to admit both products worked great and I would say that the Duplicolor Vinyl paint is a spot on match to the Flame Red factory paint. Or at least to a point that is close enough to me.

Below is what I started with. I had never even noticed that my gauge surround was already silver. I had planned on doing just the rings around the gauges but since it was all silver and I had no black duplicolor paint, I did it all in red.

And the after on the cluster bezel...

And installed....

Oh, and that's a 6ft tall fridge in the last pic.
