Default Soft top wind noise

I have an 07 unlimited with a soft top and there is a ridiculous amount of wind noise at highway speeds. At about 55mph it's really loud and annoying. After looking around I found a couple different options and was wondering if anyone had tried either and which would be better. One is the Mopar Windshield Header Channel Kit and the other is the Bestop Headliner. Both are available from Quadratec. Any suggestions?

Look at it from the side on the outside. Mine sometimes goes on a little twisted and doesn't go in the channel all the way. I have to release and redo it a couple times before it sits down in the channel.

If you haven't done so, read the owners manual or do a youtube search and find the specific order to attach everything. On my 07 if i did not put it on in that exact order, it would be noisy. Otherwise, it was bearable.

I had the same problem with wind noise as well. Jeep has a TSB for the wind noise. There are two parts that need to be replaced in the header to correct the noise problem. There is a post in the forum that i found with the mopar part numbers. The parts only cost me around $50.00 from a local dodge dealer.

I think it depends on where your noise is coming from. When your driving pull down on a outside corner ( by the header) and see if the noise goes away. If it does it's gonna be requiring a header. If not and it's air going over the top then the headliner will work for you.
I have the headliner in my 2dr and it makes it warm up faster And cool down faster as you are not loosing heat/air-condition thru the top. I also have the header noise when I'm driving at freeway speeds. Been thinking about putting tape overthe top and windshield channel to see if it quites down.

Default Metal Header Channel

I too had this smae issue with my 07. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the gasket around the windshield, and a week later the leaking started. If you hear noise, its only a matter of time before the water starts to drip on the windows...or in my case right in the middle .The issue is the plastic headers they put on the softtops in 07. It gets hot in the summer, starts to bend as plastic does, and never will be strait to make a good connection with the gasket. You need to get the new metal header (the part number is listed on another thread somewhere) and replace it. I found that part at a mopar part discount online store for cheap and did it myself. It took 30mins and has never leaked or had wind noise since. I dirve on the interstate and listen to movies on the RER with no issue now.
