Default Spider web shade

Just a general question......with the spider web shade, can you still put the hardtop over the top of this? Can you do this with most bikini tops?

Yes, you can use the hard top with the SpiderWebShade: I am doing so right now. Bikini tops use the windshield header channel and need to be removed before putting the soft top or hard top back on.

Don't know about other bikini tops but you can put the hardtop over the spiderwebshade.

Once you install the spiderweb shade you'll never have to remove it, soft top, hard top or bikini tops. The shade sits below between the roll bars out of the way as you can see in the pic.

I have one and love it. However, a couple remarks about the tops.

1) soft top - you have to release the two front-side spiderballs in order to close the latches

2) hard top - you will have to release the front part of the spiderweb to reach the freedom top's latches without having to squeeze your arm between the spiderweb and the top.

However, you can easily roll the spiderweb and attach it to the roll bar using the spiderballs or Velcro straps when you do not need it. The fact that is does not need a front header is great, since there's no extra parts to worry about and allow for closing the top quicker.

Here in Seattle where it can start raining anytime any season, being able to quickly close the top (both types) is a great feature. :-)

The spider web shade is a very nice product and it works beautifully, blocking a good deal of the heat. But I just took it off and intend to list it for sale. The reason? I thought it took away from the open air feel, particularly at night when it completely blocks the night sky view. Here in south Florida, especially this time of year, the sun is baking down on us. And I often commute topless wearing a tie. Still, I miss the open sky above. Going back to my hat.
