Your link was censored- looks like it was another forum maybe? What's the gist of the thread you tried to link?

I wish I'd added a lift or leveling kit while I was in there. Oh well, I got good practice for next time.

I figure I'll download instructions for installing a coil lift with shocks, since that process is similar to what we'll be doing. Just thought I'd put this out there in case anyone has advice. Thanks.
This is the first time I have heard of this. I have a 2013 jku sport I wonder if it will work too? Did you need anything else other than the springs and shocks?

No, only needed springs and shocks (free, because my buddy upgraded his Rubicon with a higher-end lift kit) and for me it was a noticeable upgrade. The Rubicon gas shocks are definitely an upgrade over the stock Sport shocks. Since it was more or less the same as installing a lift, I just used a vendor's writeup for installing a lift.

Just make sure to check the labels on the springs before you bother upgrading those. Some people with Sports claim to have the same springs as a Rubicon, so if the numbers are the same there's no point in swapping. For me it was a slight upgrade on the springs as well.

I found it a good time to check if I needed brake line extensions too once done and the shock and swaybar (rear only) are back in place put the brake line bracket back in place and drop that side as far as possible with some force to fully extend and see how much you have left.

I had to do the sway bar on both front and rear as I couldn't get the axle low enough to get the old springs out.

We just took the tires off with the frame jacked high, and the axles dropped enough that the springs actually just fell right out!

Just make sure you look at the numbers before swapping out the springs.

I didn't have a Rubicon but already had 59 springs in the rear of my unlimited sport s.
In most cases a Rubi will have higher number springs than a non, but not always, there is no such thing as "Rubi Springs"

See the spring mystery thread for more details
