It does not have a cb mount location. My CB mount had longer screws which you will need to go through the cb mount, tire carrier, and provided metal spacer. Flip the mount upside down on the lower left of your tire carrier but like I said, now you will need 48" stick. When you get to that step it will make sense.

here it is installed. Sorry, I didn't feel like removing the tire but you can still see the mount and get the idea. Lower mounting position is about a foot shorter than original.

I taped the area off and put tape in the holes for the threads, lightly sanded it and then applied some primer.

Good call on the primer. I am going to use that technique. I am going ot get this, but since it's aluminum i did not want to put it against the unpainted steel, the aluminum and steel will react if they touch. I know the carrier is powdercoated, but better safe than sorry.

Great thread. Thank you.

I'm considering ordering the Teraflex and doing this myself. I'm using AEV 17" wheels with 35x12.5x17 LT tires. Can I get by without having to order the adjustable tire mount? Using the original tire mount that came on the Jeep?
