Default Great Job!!

I was trying to figure out how to lower the third brake light to gain a little more visibility. This is an even better solution. Your install is very clean looking and though I would have loved pictures of the process (especially drilling into the hard top), I have a list of materials and a finished product to go by. Bravo!! I love how this forum provides me with new ideas to try and proof that it can be done!!

Go with another solution, or order another light and attach it to the rear sports bar facing the rear.

Since I never remove the hardtop, it's not an issue.

Nothing to see from the inside, with the exception of the wire running from the body to the access hole on the hardtop, where the wiper wires route also.
The fasteners and the wiring for the light are in the void between the inner and outer shell. I just used some nylon fasteners to screw into like you would for a license plate.

I've been thinking about something like this for a while.

I had to conjur something up for my inspection last month to pass. I particularly like this idea, as my inspection is in December, and even though I take my top off, its always on in the winter. This way I'd pass inspection all the time, and not worry during the warmer months!

Did you add a breakaway connector where the hard top meets the tub, or just hardwire it in? I didn't see that part of your post.

Nevermind, I found where you answered it! (I gotta read more carefully)

Very nice. I never liked the factory design or the way the aftermarket carriers work.
