2 weeks ago I went up to north western Wisconsin. All stock 08 Rubicon 2 door and got 18.9 mpg going up there and 17.4 mpg returning. After installing the new volant cai I went to north eastern Wisconsin and averaged 18.0 mpg on the way up and 19.1 on the way home. Same driver and driving habits both trips. What I did notice is that with the volant cai the Jeep got up to speed quicker and I didn't have a problem keeping it at a steady speed.

Just got the Volant CAI used. Going to install it hopefully tomorrow. I'm super excited and appreciate the good advise. I'm defiantely going to hobble around Home Depot and make the Critter Catcher! Also has anyone picked up a prefilter. I like to run on Silver Lake Sand Dunes and want a prefilter. I have a 5120 Volant Filter and can't find anything from Outerwears. Volant wants $45 for their prefilters but don't even list one for the 5120. Anyone have any advise?

DId any of you guys get any warning lights after installing this? My JK is a 2011 with around 6000 miles. I installed the volant using this guide and 7 days later i got two ETC lights which put me in limp mode and then an MIL light.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have a 2011, how does this impact your warranty when you install this?

I installed my cold air intake and throttle body spacer last weekend. I have to say I am not very impressed. I thought that I would have gotten something out of it. Not noticing any difference.

Well it has been a little while now and I can defiantly tell by the lower end power. No improved fuel mileage.
