Default The wifes door hangers

My wife liked driving my jeep so much she turned in her voloster and got a 2013 JKU. Here second project was to figure out how to hang the doors. I told her about the hooks people use, she didn't like how all the weight of the door would be on the window seal. We where at tractor Supply one day looking for hinges for the gate on the fence. We came across part# N131-193, 1/2x4" (picture to follow) it looked like the right size for the pin on the door to fit so we bought 12, 8 for her jeep and 4 for mine. stopped by Lowe's and picked up 12 4" lag bolts. I had some left over 2x8's so thats what she used.

She mounted one of the boards about knee high to the wall with 6 of the lag bolts, into the studs of course. Measured up 3 1/2", mounted the other 2x8 (that # will bdifferentnt if you use 2x4's) She marked the center of the top board, measured down to the bottom board 12 1/4" (Should be in the center also)
I think she did a pretty good job, she also did a hard top storage.

Looks good but how are you going to prevent them from swinging into each other?

It takes a lot to get them to move side to side. she puts beach towels over them and than pushes them to the left, I have already put foam padding on the side of my work bench to protect that door.
