I have a trektop nx for my unlimited and I would like to use a windjammer when I have all the windows removed. I ordered the bestop windjammer (the one that does not wrap around) today.

Can it be used without a duster deck cover?

I downloaded the PDF of the instructions and it looks like if you don't have the duster the bottom just sort of hangs down... This doesn't make sense to me.

 

Not sure about the JK ones but the TJ ones could mount with or without the duster. So i would assume they would be the same.

 

Yup. I run it without the duster when I run my cargo top. Here is a pic, hard to see the windjammer but it's there without the duster.

 

The JK duster does not attach to the floor like the TJ and YJ dusters. You would run two straps to the top rail and 2 to the side rails so it would sit at like a 70 degree backwards angle
