Default It's been a long road

I live in the North Mountains of Georgia and purchased my 07 JK Wrangler 3 years ago...I wanted a smaller ride than the Dodge Hemi extended cab 4X4 for daily runs..It started like this

But it was a good foundation, no rust at all, motor 3.8, auto trans, X. The motor had 141k miles on it and ran fine, but I wanted to restore all of it..I started looking for a 3 piece hard top and found one from a member on here

..I had to move the Footmans loop to accommodate the newer top. Next I wanted to have new tires and change the wheels to a bright silver newer factory wheel. From there I replaced the motor with a new reman 3.8 from Jasper re-man engs..I installed a new radiator with an external trans cooler. Replaced the starter, alternator, steering stabilizer, and all belts hoses and spark plug wires..I installed new bumpers ft and rear, all four brakes new...I contacted Total inovations about a fiberglass hood with a functioning ventilation system that has channels for rain water run off.

The windows were all tinted with a special product I can' remember the name
I wanted the new engine to run as cool as possible a dissipate any heat build up.On the interior I changed the radio to a double din sony and replaced the antenna as well..I removed the drivers seat and installed seat tracks that would allow addition adjustments 2 inches further back as I am 6ft.1, and a security lock box underneath the seat..I installed a steering wheel cover, new factory cruise control and new silver spokes for the center of the steering wheel. Then to address the bad hip problem I am having..I found a set of electric side steps off a 4 door and modified them with the help of my brothers to fit my 2door

.It's been a long road and I know I have left out a ton of things I have done..And I am finished for now...I really love this JK.

I forgot I also changed the complete Wiper system..New wiper motor and linkage. Speakers I also changed

In this Disaster of an administration running our Country, Gas is a real issue and continuing to go higher, Rate of inflation is at 9.1 and climbing. I have decided to install a locking gas cap cover to deter gas being stolen. or at least make it harder...

The most difficult part was to remove the gasket around the neck of the fuel pipe.

Most of us design our Jeeps to reflect our personal taste, comfort, and often patriotic pride..I have decided as many have, to show my opinion with three letters..of our current political situation...
