well I'd say yes, but I don't think I'd be much fun dealing with this ear thing right now....sorry.

falconfixer 09-08-2009 07:46 AM

Hell this is my first down time since buying the house and moving in and I got a day off work finally and it's to babysit the dishwasher repairman and wait for the DirecTV guy to come by.

Dave, what's up with your ear?

edit: just read up on your hearing issue in the A&E thread, Dave. Definitely keep us posted and I "hear":rotflmao1: that there are some decent ENTs in Anchorage if they jerk you around down there. Hearing loss sucks and unfortunately its one of those things our bodies are programmed to correct.

.....I think you meant "fortunately" it's one of those things our bodies are programmed to correct......

Sure the hell hope so as this is the shits....!!!:sad2: I've had a hearing test yesterday that was "somewhat" incouraging. And I go in to the local ENT on Tues. Damnit.......this will be taking time away from my moose hunting ...!!!

falconfixer 09-10-2009 09:21 PM

I dunno Dave, I thought once hearing goes to bad that's it. Not trying to bring you down but I know after being around F16s and the sorts for 11 years I have hearing loss and ringing that the VA is working on paying me 3 pesos a month for. Hoping you have better luck with real doctors

mert34 09-13-2009 12:24 AM

Hey, hope your hearing tests and appointments work out. not something to mess around with.

No, this hearing loss isn't something that was ongoing, or that I suffered from something loud going off next to me....I just woke up with it one morning. So, from what I've been told, 30% get all their hearing back, 30% get some, and 30% never get it back. There is a good chance I have a virus in the ear, or it's inflammation of the auditory nerve. In which case all my hearing could come back when it goes away. A lady I work with had the same thing happen, and her hearing came back in a little over a week.
Let's hope I am as lucky....

So where's the install pics?

mert34 09-21-2009 05:39 PM

waiting on tires to come in, and still have not ordered drive shafts. but plan hopefully to have installed first week of oct.

johnnyrigger 09-24-2009 08:43 PM

you guys up for a trail ride 3 or 4th of OCT? I would like to do at least my first trail ride before winter hits to hard.

tonkmaster 09-25-2009 09:19 AM

my bet is that there will be snow on the ground before then...

johnnyrigger 09-25-2009 12:42 PM

well if it is you guys want to do a snow run?

mert34 09-28-2009 10:56 AM

wow placed died again, kinda derailing the current topic but what tires do you guys run in winter? just kind of seeing whats decent on ice because i live on a hill.

johnnyrigger 09-29-2009 03:30 PM

well when i got hear on 2006 i had a ford ranger 2x4 with BFG Long trails, but i also had 300 LBS of sand bags in the bed. I Never had any problems, never got stuck, or spun out!! and I also lived on a hill. So I think i am going to leave my OEM 16's... and see what happens.

mert34 09-29-2009 11:01 PM

ah thanks, thinking of getting another set for my stock rims for winter and keep the km2s for when the ice isnt around.

tonkmaster 09-30-2009 09:53 AM

I'm about to find out how my m/t's are gonna handle on the ice......this outta be fun:eek2:

mert34 09-30-2009 08:49 PM

well keep me posted, if it not bad at all then i wont get another set. guess only way to tell though is to wait til we get our ice/snow here

falconfixer 09-30-2009 10:39 PM

ahh yea, I've been a little MIA lately and would love to do a run but I'm washing aircraft every weekend in Oct so I'm done. As far as the KM1s in snow/ice...they suck. I can't speak for the KM2s as I believe they actually have some siping but my KM1s were horrendous last winter. Hey Rob, good thing you got some good armor!!!! :rotflmao2:

tonkmaster 10-01-2009 11:57 AM

I may have to rattle can the dents and dings as I get em...

mert34 10-16-2009 08:10 PM

so i just spent the last couple days in anchorage, maybe next time we all can meet up or something.

tonkmaster 10-16-2009 09:02 PM

You should of posted on here that you were coming to town. We coulda met up for a cold one...oh well:beer:

mert34 10-17-2009 12:29 PM

it was a rush trip for a funeral, didnt exactly plan it, next time though will give some heads up.

AK4Dave 10-21-2009 06:22 PM

Hey guys......just wanted you all to know that I did get a reply about the AK area decals from the Project JK store. This is what he said:

"they are done and i have them, i just need to get them on the online store. i will try to get this done in the next day or so."

That was the 12th and I still don't see them in the "store". So maybe if you guys contact him a few times too, he'll get busy and post there so we can buy them.

CYA......

Oh btw, did any of you get together to go wheelin?

tonkmaster 10-21-2009 07:48 PM

Nope.....:sad2:

johnnyrigger 10-23-2009 02:31 AM

Nope.... u guys want to get to do some wheeling this weekend?

falconfixer 10-24-2009 11:04 AM

Would love to do something but here I sit working on schoolwork. Depressing thought is I have 7 classes left and they are all 400 series. Even more depressing is I re-did my course schedule and I'm maxed out on the weekends till I do my senior project next June:naw:

tonkmaster 10-24-2009 02:30 PM

Work on Saturdays and watch football on Sundays....so no wheelin for me...

mert34 10-26-2009 02:49 PM

hey, off here lately but this is what ive been up to.

https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-show-tell-33/teraflex-installed-106531/

let me know what ya think.

falconfixer 10-26-2009 03:33 PM

Just posted in the other thread but your Jeep Looks really good with those tims/tires and lift installed. How long did it take you to install? You do it yourself or with some help?

mert34 10-26-2009 04:51 PM

i was unable to do it myself due to time, couldnt get a day free to do it so had a shop do it.

johnnyrigger 10-27-2009 10:57 PM

wow your jeep looks good!! I can't wait till i move down to the lower 48 to put my lift on!!

falconfixer 10-28-2009 04:43 PM

Well since dis is the BS thread figured I'd mention some good news that finally came my way....VA finally decided on my rating and I am at 60%. Aside from VA doctors working on me now I get a little coin to pay off bills and hopefully have some leftover to pay for some parts by next summer. :D Oh and the rockstar parking pass I can get from the DMV will be an added bonus:rotflmao2:

tonkmaster 10-28-2009 06:42 PM

Nice...glad to hear that they finally are now paying you for your service.....as far as your new parking pass, you should doctor it up and make the wheelchair towing a jeep....:rotflmao2:
