I grew up in Tahoe so spent a bit of time at the casinos. I loved to play blackjack. After awhile I started to realize that when I first started I always seemed to win say 5 out of 6 hands, and then I'd slowly start loosing. So after that, instead of starting with $2 hands, I'd lay down $5 or $10 a hand. Again I'd win. So then I would make myself quit and then take that money and go have dinner on them. Ended up eating a lot of real good dinners for free....

I was at Elmendorf AFB for 3 years. I LOVE ALASKA!! But seriously. Get a small toy hauler and get some quads. Easier to maintain while exploring up there. The mud flats at Jims Creek are amazing but evil on Jeepers. And most of the trails up there are just considered roads. Enjoy it though.
On a side note. Don't bother the moose. They kill more people per year than bears^^. At least that's what the AF told me. Lol

ATVs are easier just for the fact that there's so much damn swamp everyplace. But there are other places other than Jim's. And for the moose....yes they do........I saw a dozen going to work Monday. Clipped one in the JK last winter...
