Got my 4.88's and my detroit rear locker in. Jeep feels torquey as hell Locker makes some funny noises and has me changing my driving characteristics a lil, but i will get used to it. If you need any work done I would highly suggest team lance garage in eagle river.

That's great to hear Steve. How long did it take them? Did you just do gears and bearings? I'm hoping to find somewhere in town to do mine when I take the leap. My 4.10s aren't doing so badly with my automatic transmission and 35's.

Just got it in last night. Had enough time to mount it before the light disappeared. I'll probably get it completed this weekend.

Have you guys seen the evap/air tank skid? It protects your EVAP while housing a 2.5 gallon air tank.

Steve, the Detroit- that's full time? What's it feel like on turns?

R3cluse- are you running a tuner of any kind?

It only took him all day monday and tuesday morning. I did 4.88's with master overhaul kits front and rear and the rear detroit. He has been doing gear swaps for years on all sorts of jeeps/trucks.

Yeah the detroit is full time it feels a little weird since I have a 2-door (short wheel base) with a manual tranny. On turns I have already learned to go easy on the skinny pedal as it unlocks the axleshafts to allow the outside wheel to turn more around corners.

Nice clean install, I like it. I haven't seen a skid like that but I'm toying with the idea of moving my evap. Depends on the exhaust I get I suppose.

I haven't gotten a tuner yet, I'm thinking about the Diablo Trinity. I read people are having huge issues with the Bullydog now. I kind of like the SC Vivid but I don't like all-in-one devices. I hate that Canon messed with my 5D Mark II and gave it video capability.

Yeah Its a little clunky but I like it. I paid $1130 just for labor but it included the gear oil and all. This is the going rate around here but Dan at Team Lance Garage is really good and has been around for years.

I was gonna ask you the same thing. I have 4:10s and auto as well on my 07' X. The SC Flashpaq made a big difference when I installed the 33" Bridgestone "Revos", and new wheels. Pretty heavy tire really. I can always tell when I have to change back to the stock settings.....what a dog. I'd like to regear too, but the Flashpaq helps me scoot around pretty darn good.
