Default Install Party

I'm interested in setting up an install party. I plan on buying some more stuff for me and my wife's Jeeps in the next couple of weeks. I'm not sure what stuff we're gonna get yet but if anyone is interested I've got a good amount of tools, Jack stands and floor Jack.

If interested, list what you would like help installing like an AEV lift kit or whatever, (cough, cough) and what dates are good. Don't have a garage to pull into but could use my in-laws level driveway weather permitting.

Alright DFW gang. I've got a tech question. Anyone running 35's with stock 3.73 gears? I just changed to 35's and am now finding overdrive to be just about useless. (just trying to maintain 70 on I-35) I've read the general tech info on this in the other threads and thought I would get the POV of those who regularly drive on the same roads I do. Will a Superchips reprogram bring enough power back to enable a more regular use of my overdrive or is a re-gear the only option.

Re-Gearing is the answer but reprogramming to let your tranny know what your "real" speed will help. It really takes both.

X 2

I run 33's and my Superchips Flashpaq helps but I plan on regearing to 4.88's if I go up to 35's.

I know I don't live in DFW, but I just went through the same thing you are. And I did drive out to DFW to get my gears put in.

I started with 33s, and survived for a few months, then got 35s and only lasted a couple months before I had to open the wallet for gears. I have had the superchips tuner the whole time. In my commute I always had OD off. Not necessarily terrible to drive that way but gears were very much worth it to me. I have an automatic.

Hey guys, we need to bump this thread. Let's not let the DFW thread die off.
