Just talked to EmbarkChief on the phone. Gonna call it off for tonight. Looks like only us two would be there. Gotta have more than that!

We plan on getting a beach run southward going here in the future, maybe around May or so. Either way, When that gets going we will have a Rudy's night to meet and greet and talk plans before the beach trip. Might even turn it into a campout! Stay Tuned!

I'm up for a beach run! Also I would love to know the route you all took last time going up hwy 87. How bad is the beach after Ike went through?

Simply put we just went North from High Island. The beach is pretty messed up, once you get about 2 miles North of High Island the sand gives way to clay at the waters edge. You can still traverse the area as there is still some sand further from the water line. There are a few areas that can be pretty soft if there has been any rain so be sure to go with a buddy.

Hey Kevin, did you see the pics I posed from our run? Its in the show and tell section.

Also, thanks for the info on PINS. Maybe make an announcement here? That way people can start clearing their schedules and making plans!

Hey Rob, yes I saw the pics and they looked good! For all those who do not know there is a trip being organized for Padre Island National Seashore (PINS). It's pretty fun, just south of Corpus. Last time I went (2 years ago) I put over 125 miles of beach riding on the Jeep! Lots of deep sand and cool scenery. I'll post up a link later today with more info.

Anybody heard anything new about local wheeling spots around Houston with Spring Creek being closed?

Well guys, talked to the shop this morning. Looks like Firewarrior will be mine again by the end of the week. Granted the alignment passes the test.

Talk about pain and suffering. I'm ready to get her back.

Kevin we need to do a run somewhere before PINS. Lets also get our fluids changed and a CB installed (which reminds me, can you get me the proper tubing cut and drilled and whatnot for a CB radio so its good to go when we do the install?
