Default wow...i know i'm super late on this

i've been with the JK forum for a few months now but i never thought to search RGV. lol.

anywho, i'm from pharr, work at doctor's hospital at renaissance.

my '09 4dr Rubicon is stock (with the exception of some KC lights and a CB radio) so i wheel pretty mild...BUT NOT FOR LONG! i've been saving my pennies.

anyway, there's a jeep club that i usually roll with every sunday at the Pharr mud pits. they're always there. and then they even do weekend-long trail runs through mexico and the upper valley every once in a while.

so i gotta know...is "The Punisher" here lol

Where in DHR do you work at? What do you do? I work at Edinburg Childrens Hospital as an ER Tech. Can't miss my JK: the license is my Ham Radio call sign...

Hey guys. I'm from McAllen. I bought a 4 door JK Unlimited last year at Van Burkleo and recently installed a 4" lift and 35"s. I've been a couple of times at the infamous "mud pits" south of Pharr but have been extremely dissapointed. I took my family for some "fun" climbing when all of a sudden shots fired. Some low lifes started shooting at the mud with HIGH CALIBER weapons in the middle of the afternoon, the place was packed with people and kids too.

Is there any other place where we can go for "family safe 4x4 action"? I mean, not clean, down and dirty 4x4 without the scum that's looking for trouble.

It'll be cool to hang out with fellow Jeepers.

I know of this other place but went there 2 times and was disappointed. To be honest with you, the jeep owners down here have a different mind set and are self involved. You literally have to beg them to even hang out and stuff. So to answer your question, probably not. sorry.

Yeah... most don't even WAVE .

I was thinking of driving out to Padre to hang out on a Saturday and maybe get some all you can eat fish at that place right before going on the overpass. I work every other weekend and this weekend I am working. Maybe we should just take a drive out there for lunch or something...

This weekend is spring break Jam at the Island, I wont be making it out this year, probably just head over on sunday. We were trying to get a truck ready for the show but the damn thing was giving me trouble finding parts and my jeep isn't in the show worthy state anymore, i got a trophy two years ago lol. I wish I had some days off from school or work so I could drive around topless

Default Hate long waits

Sitting here at Weslaco dealer waiting for them to finish a recall for the transmision light. The recall notice I received in the mail said it would take about 30 minutes. Well I'm still waiting and they haven't even taken my Jeep inside. They said it should be ready around 1PM!!!!

I did see a guy that brought a jeep for an oil change. I said hi to him, but not even a smile out of him. Though his wife did smile and say HI

we have a couple of jeepers here in brownsville that get together at a place by the port. if it doesn't rain it's real hard dirt with some fun washouts. not extremely hardcore stuff but fun. after that we like to head out to padre sometimes and drive down the beach. i'm a teacher so sundays are bad for me (got to get my sleep, lol)..
