So is there anyone here in Central Texas that actually takes their Jeep on a trail regularly?
I've just moved here from Arizona. I guess I've just been spoiled by the FourCorners crew.
No offense intended, but I've never seen so many waxed, shined and armor all-ed JKs in my life.
I took a drive through Austin last week and I couldn't even get a Jeep wave returned...
Its looking like this is going to be a very long tour here at Fort Hood.
So far, Im very disappointed in you Texas

Well, I haven't been out as much as I would have liked to, but that was because I almost always have to work on Saturdays. Now the problem is no money. I have been on a few group runs before; PINS (Padre Island NAtional Seashore), just south of Corpus Christi, where you can drive 70 miles (one way) on the beach, a state JK meet at Long's Ranch, and Jeep Jamboree at Ink's Ranch.

Here's a few non-clean pics.

Here's some with red dirt.

The piles of dirt on the pavement washed off during a rainstorm from the previous night.

Here's several of us dirty birds at Long's.

These are from Ink's.

Well I finally found my way here. I haven't been on the board much over the past 2 years thanks to my little 15 month hunting trip courtesy of the Army. I live just outside Copperas Cove in Kempner. I have 2 JK's a 2007 white 4dr with a soft top ( for the wife ) and since she wouldn't let me drive it when I got back from Iraq I bought myself a 2008 detonator yellow 4 dr with a hard top. I haven't really done anything to it yet though as funds are low at the moment. Definately looking for people to meet up with and go wheelin. What's the sense of havin a Jeep otherwise. Anyone in the Killeen, Cove,Temple area feel free to drop me a line. I'll try and check in more often.

We're glad you made it back in one piece. When will you deploy again?

I shouldn't be deploying untill next summer or fall. With Comrade Obama at the helm who knows though. When Texas leaves the union though I hope they will let us Texas citizens stay here
