I used to be 07rube. I had it changed to 07 RBY to match my license plate.

They were a separate company the TXDOT gave a concession to sell personalized plates. Many were much more expensive than mine. Yes, it's legal. I picked it up at the tax office.

I remember there was a link on here to the website and I looked into. It's no surprise they went bankrupt - the prices were ridiculous. You could get a diamond plate license plate, but it would've set you back about $250 per year (if I remember correctly). Way too much IMO.

 

Yeah, I think I paid way too much as it is, but I couldn't resist.
