Default First Time in TX

I'm going to Houston for the first time, and though I'm going for work and will not have my Jeep I thought you guys may be willing and able to direct me to the must see's/must eats of the city. I'm driving out tomorrow, the 22nd, and will stay through Friday.

Any suggestions welcome and appreciated thanks in advance.

Food: Cyclone Anaya on Woodway. Ninfa's on Navigation. Texas Tamale on Fairway. Taste of Texas of Katy Freeway.

Those are the places I miss the most after moving away!

What side of town you staying on?

Pretty good spots mentioned so far. There are a lot of great places to eat in Houston. Bubba's burgers, Pete's meat market are two places that we like to go that are places that you wouldn't normally go to unless someone either took you or told you. Both are in the Galleria area.

Lucky's pub and Flying saucer are two places around the ball park that have a TON of beer available and food. Nikos nikos isn't far from there either with good food.

Options are pretty much endless

I'm headed out to San Diego for a few days or I'd meet up and have a few cold ones with ya.

Chuy's on Westheimer, comida deluxe is the best Tex-Mex

Cafe Adobe has good margaritas
Ginger Man in Rice Village for a good beer and great view.

Every time I make a trip to Houston I try to eat at 100% taquito.

Its a pretty authentic Mexican street food place, but without the worry for cleanliness and whatnot that is affiliated with mexican taco trucks.
